I have a expensive Sony Soundbar for my television that i got for a gift one christmas and I have liked its quality until i bought the jambox and realized what quality sounded like. Initial testing of range was a bit disappointing and found my laptop had to be a lot closer to the speaker, but when using my cell for say Spotify I had more flexibility with range. The fact that I can connect my cell and my laptop at the same time sold me. Ended up picking Jawbone because of the extra features. Was going back and forth about this speaker or the Beats XL pill or Bose Soundlink III.
